If you have a chance to go to an Active Rehabilitation camp, do not hesitate — you will learn a lot!

My injury is four years old now, and life goes by sitting in a wheelchair. For three years I stayed at home without going outside, exercised on a wall bar and waited for a miracle — that I would stand up and walk. So far the miracle has passed me by.

Hello, friends!

Time passes — and you can spend the rest of your life just sitting like that. Guys, I am asking those of you who are going through a hard time: do not repeat my mistakes. Our life goes on, and it should be lived usefully — for ourselves and for our Ukraine. There is no time to waste, and I saw that for myself in a place that is wonderful in every sense of the word: the Active Rehabilitation Camp «Zakhid 2». Thanks to chance, to God and simply to good people.

I learned a lot of interesting and useful things there. For example, how easy it is to do aerobics right in front of the television with some good music — just ten minutes a day, and your life and your mood get better. Or how many useful exercises you can do with a single elastic band: you can train the muscles of your arms, back and shoulders. After all, our arms are our second legs.

A session at the camp

I am grateful to the camp professionals for teaching me how to handle a wheelchair properly: now I go up and down the stairs on my own! Without anyone’s help. That helps me enormously in my daily life. I learned to play table tennis, although I had never played it before my injury. At the «Zakhid 2» camp we had lectures every day — clear and sensible, interesting and useful. Whatever you want to ask about, you will always get an answer.

Guys, if you have a chance to go to an Active Rehabilitation camp, do not hesitate — you will learn a great deal. You will enjoy the beauty of nature, breathe clean air, and come back with health, energy, confidence in yourself and love for life and for everything around you.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to everyone at the camp — to the volunteers who left their own affairs at home, always helped and stayed by our side; to the organisers, for the good mood and the positive emotions. A huge thank you to the instructors for teaching us how to live and for sharing their experience and knowledge.

Thank you very much, may God give you health and all the best in your lives. You are all simply wonderful!
