In early September, the final “Kurazh” of the summer season took place

Our team regularly joins in and conducts activities to raise awareness of the needs of wheelchair users, as well as to master wheelchair riding and support. We are proud to be a part of the incredible Courage, and we never tire of thanking you for creating a space without barriers, a space where everyone has a place!

Courage, of course, is not only about having a good time, because each time a charitable goal is set, which this time reached an incredible amount of UAH 3,000,000

The funds raised will be used to provide ventilation for 120 children and to equip the Okhmatdyt shelter with special furniture, to the Birds project to purchase takmeds, and to buy prostheses for patients of the Superhumans Center, with whom we created a location where everyone could try themselves as a wheelchair user, try on a prosthesis, and learn more about communication, needs, and challenges faced by people with disabilities in everyday life.

But any event is about people! This Courage was special for us because our instructors, Anna Ostankova and Denys Maystrenko, who were forced to leave Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, but could not stay away and join the work not only remotely but also physically, were working on the site.

Today is Anna’s birthday and, of course, she celebrates it in a special way – she is running a race to raise funds to support her brother, who, together with his son (her nephew), is defending Ukraine’s borders in one of the hottest spots.

“This man is not just a brother, but my support. In 2011, he saved my life after a spinal cord injury by finding money for my surgery. Since then, I have been using a wheelchair, and it is thanks to his support and the help of my friends that I can live and be with my family,” Anna writes on her page.

The 12 km race will take place today at 15:00 in Sykhiv Park, but everyone can support Anna not only physically, but also remotely with their congratulatory donation!

We are definitely able to bring Anna closer to her goal. Thank you to each and every one of you!
